Community Leadership Workshops (CLeW)

A CLeW is a one day leadership workshop for high school freshman.  The workshop introduces 50-100 freshman to HOBYWA with activities including panel sessions, professional speakers and a community service project.  After the workshop students should have a greater understanding about HOBYWA and the annual four day seminar.

CLeWs are typically initiated by an Alumnus who wishes to bring HOBY to their high school.

Due to the progressing situation with COVID-19, after much consideration we have made the decision to cancel all upcoming HOBY Community Leadership Workshops (CLeWs):

Blaine High School – April 25th, 2020

Squalicum High School – May 9th, 2020

The health and safety of our volunteers is our highest priority, and we have come to the conclusion that continuing with these events would put both volunteers and students at an unnecessary risk.

We plan to re-evaluate future CLeW development at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
