Congratulations! You are now part of the HOBY family of more than 375,000 alumni who lead in their schools, serve in their communities and go on to realize success in a number of areas. The seminar may be over, but your HOBY journey isn’t. We are here to help you along that road with resources, ideas and support.
HOBY EXCELeration Kit
Now that the HOBY Washington seminar is over, it’s time to put what you’ve learned into practice. Don’t forget that the HOBY EXCELeration Kit, part of which you received in your seminar program book, contains helpful tips and resources for how to turn your ideas into actions. Pass the Torch
This past year, someone at your high school took the time to go through the process of selecting and registering you for HOBY. Now, it is your responsibility to make sure that your school puts forth the same effort next year to register a deserving sophomore. HOBY registration packets will be mailed to your school in September. Please check in with your school (most likely your guidance counselor or principal) to ensure that he or she received it, and offer your assistance with the student selection process. HOBY challenges you to pass the torch to the next generation of HOBY.
Start a Community Leadership Workshop (CLeW)
CLeWs are 1-day HOBY leadership workshops that are coordinated by alumni like you. A CLeW gives the HOBY opportunity to freshmen in high school to begin their leadership experiences with HOBY. If you need more information on how to get started, please contact Nic Townsend-Falck at firstname.lastname@example.org.
